There are many different methods you can choose to use to go about removing red wine carpet stains but one common mistake people make is instantly trying to blotch out a red wine stain with warm water, this, may seem the correct process to initially carry out, but in fact, it will actually set the stain into the carpet increasing its difficulty to be removed. Along with this, is then drying the stain with a coloured napkin, this actually causes the colour of the napkin to run into the carpet, and of course some people use warm water, along with a napkin after!

Here at Carpet Local , we understand the quickest, most effective ways to remove a carpet stain. It is essential that you attack the stain as quickly as possible, every minute that you leave the stain is more time for it to permanently set. We always suggest to our customers to use the salt method coupled with the soda clean, this is a quick, and simple yet effective DIY stain removal procedure, which involves you pouring salt onto the area stained area to prevent the wine from being absorbed by the carpets fibres, once this is done you then move onto the next stage which is pouring, white wine on the carpet, which will help to blot out the mark when you apply a clean cloth to the area. Caution must be taken when applying the cloth to the carpet, the blotting must be a gentle action as pressing down hard will push the stain into the carpet fibres.

On completion of this, if there is still some of the wine remaining, apply soda to the marked area, this will help lift out the remaining wine, which will make it easier to blot out with a clean cloth.
